| About Series |
The Motor Trader RS125 Challenge Cup 2009 is a one make race racing series based on the Aprilia RS125 and is part of the Malaysian Super Series Championship. Consisting of 2 catagories, Junior and Open Class, created to provide a platform to develop young talent and also to provide enthusiasts an affordable racing series. The National Junior category is recognised and supported by Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM).
These 2 categories will compete in the same grid thus creating excitement and challenge to both riders and their teams.
2 riders aged between 13 yrs to 15 yrs, 1 from Malaysia and 1 other Nationality, may be selected for full sponsorship to participate in the Red Bull Rookies Cup 2009 Final Riders Selection. Our dream is to make the RS125 Challenge Cup as the premier regional platform where young riders within Asia can develop at minimal costs. Much like rider development plaforms currently in Europe. Ultimately we aim to be one of the series where MotoGP teams come to scout for future Asian talents. |
