Incentive Scheme for Malaysian Rally Championship 2009

1. Aim

This initiative is done as an incentive to attract new and young drivers in Malaysia to take part in the current Malaysian Rally Championship.

2. Objective

We are trying our best to get Malaysian drivers to participate in the Malaysian round of FIA Asia-Pacific Rally Championship 2009 to be held in Johor on 14 – 16 August 2009 and due to this commitment we need to create/search/develop our own new breed of rally drivers.

To assist and provide platform for MAM-SIC Rally X and MAM-SIC RallySprint participants to move up the ladder to a national level competition.

In the light of the current situation with the Malaysian Rally scene, the number of new comers over the past few years can be considered very low.  Therefore, we would like to see more new comers and hopefully we will have a line up of our very own new and old taking part in the event.

3. Method.

The proposed methods are as follows:-

1.    Financial assistance of RM500.00 cash money to the competitors for every round competed.
2.    Maximum of 10 teams for 2009, with 3 positions reserved for Zero to Hero graduates.
3.    Assistance for all 5 Rounds of the MRC2009

4. Terms & Conditions

To be eligible for the incentive the competitors must be of the followings :-

i.        Entered in the Junior Class (Clubman) category
ii.       A Private Entry
iii.      Confirmed entry by MRC secretariat at the close of entry for each round.
iv.      To participate in at least 3 rounds of MRC09
v.       A Malaysian citizen aged between 19-35 for the entire season of 2009
vi.      Normal Aspirated engine and 2 wheel drive
vii.     Locally manufactured car only
viii.    Class P9,P10 and P11 only
ix.      Maximum of 10 entries for 2009
x.       Applied to all 5 rounds of MRC09
xi.      Participated in MAM Rally X Series 2008/2009 and/or MAM Rally Sprint Series 2008/2009

* Note for 2008 Recipient

i.       Has received at 3 or more MRC08 rounds will not be eligible for 2009 CIP
ii.      Has received at 2 or less MRC08 rounds will be eligible for 2009 CIP

Recipient are entitled for the followings :

i.       A total of RM500.00 financial assistance per event participated to be disbursed as follows :

Start Money of RM500.00 will be paid to you at the start of the event

ii.      This entitlement apply to 1 season only (2009)

In return, recipient are,

i.        To carry MAM stickers of appropriate size on your vehicle
ii.       Allow MAM to use materials related to your participation in the event for publication.
iii.      To protect the good name of MAM
iv.      To utilize the incentive monies in subsidizing your event participation cost
v.       Endeavor to participate in full season of MRC09

5. Summary :

2.    Maximum of 10 entries / round
      ( 3 positions reserved for Zero to Hero graduates )
3.    Maximum no of rounds for 2009 -  Five (5)

Disbursement.

1.    Competitors to register with WSM to participate
2.    WSM to advise MAM on Junior Class(Clubman) Category Entry List.
3.    MAM to pay “ Start Money “ based on Junior Class Start List at the Start of the each round.
