MALAYSIAN MINI BIKE CHAMPIONSHIP KICKS ROUND 4 THIS WEEKEND

The organizers and promoters of the Malaysian Mini Bike Championship would like to invite interested young riders to take part in this championship scheduled this weekend, 5-6 July 2008 at the Speedway Plus Circuit, Elite USJ.

This programme is consistent with the objective to unearth capable new talent whom can be developed apart from giving awareness on safety aspects in the street as well as to reduce phenomenon illegal racing and death disaster.

12 year old Mohd Ramdan Mohd Rosli from Langkawi Geopark Team set the pace clocking an outstanding lap winning 3 categories in the last round will be participating once again in this championship. Together with him, Amirul Hafiq Azmi (12 years) from Kuala Lumpur, the female rising stars Fatin Nur Amira M Nasir (13 years) and Tun Puteri Aqilah Khairulnisa Tun Muda (11 years) will be joining the race too. With victory in the last three rounds Mohd Ramdan Mohd Rosli is currently leading in the championship standings with 56 points followed by Hafizh Syahrin B. Abdullah with 35 points. The last round of the Malaysian Mini Bike Championship 2008 was held at Cyberjaya Lake Garden Community Club with a total of 44 entries.

MAM is very pleased to sanction and work together hand in hand with Kelab Sukan Bermotor Integrasi to run this championship series. We hope to identify exceptional talents whom we can groom to become future champions. This championship series provides an opportunity for our young talents to compete at an early age and show their passion towards motor sport. This series will also help the young competitors in knowing the safety aspects of the sport itself.

Competitors from all over Malaysia will be taking part in this Championship Series. The championship is open to public. So don't miss out this opportunity to see if the sport is for you. There are 4 categories for this event as below:

On June 28, 2008 a total of three mini bike riders (as the above picture), M Zaqhwan B. Zaidi, Fatin Nur Amira Bt M Nasir and Tg Amirul Hafiruddin B. Tg Hanafi took part in the Junior GP Racing Dream programme held at Sepang International Circuit. Out of 16 riders who took part in the selection process, 5 were selected. All three mini bike riders were selected based on their outstanding skills. The instructor Shahrol Yuzy headed the selection process.

As part of MAM's objective, the sports development program is designed to assist exceptional talent reaching the top of the chosen discipline.
