Selection Process for 2008 Junior GP Racing Dream

The organiser and promoter of the highly innovative Junior GP Racing Dream programme would like to invite riders between the age of 13 and 15 to take part in the selection process for the 2008 season which will be held on 27th -28th June 2008, Sepang North Track at 8.30am.

The Junior GP Racing Dream is a development programme, designed to find the right talent who can be supported all the way to the MotoGP level.Supported by Motorsports Association Of Malaysia and partners-Maxxis tyres, RK-M chains, Racing Boy wheels and brakes, AHM exhausts, SOL helmets, Petronas Sprinta lubricants.

Says MAM's Chief Executive Mia Sharizman, "We are excited to run this selection process with JP Millia to identify the exceptional young talents throughout Malaysia. This unique programme will develop our riders of tomorrow. Our major focus is on developing the Malaysian riders scene and to ensure it can prosper and grow and the youth is the exact place to start."

This nationwide programme is open to any rider within the stipulated age range and those who are selected will be given a ride in the four round 2008 series. Each heavily subsidised ride will cost the rider only RM6,000 for the entire season. The top three riders at the end of the 2008 season will get fully sponsored rides in the 2009 Super Sports Junior GP series.

These riders will also get fully sponsored opportunity to attend the Red Bull rookies Cup selection process in Portugal in 2009.These fully sponsored rides and the Red Bull Rookies Cup tryouts are worth more than RM100,000.

We believe that this is a practical way to encourage healthy interest in motorcycle racing as it gives everyone a chance to shine, without having to spend a lot of money on a racing bike, maintenance crew and expensive competition parts.

To ensure that those who attend are serious about motorcycle racing, we do require that they pay a deposit of RM500. This deposit is refundable if they are not selected however if the rider is selected then the RM500 will pay part of the rider fee.
