Insurance
Insurance and the issuing of an Event Permit is the guarantee to government, the public and participants that the sport is conducted in an orderly fashion with appropriate risk management procedures in place. MAM provides a comprehensive Public Liability Insurance Policy as part of the MAM Event Permit which is compulsory for ALL events conducted by MAM's affiliates. The public liability cover is RM3 Million per event. It covers damages to third party property, spectators and other parties not directly involved in the competition. Competitors and officials are also covered by personal accident insurance. For competitors the cost of insurance is included in the competition licence fee for all licence grades except Come n' Try one-day licences. The personal accident cover is from RM25,000 to RM50,000 depending on the license grade. A personal accident cover of RM25,000 for MAM licensed officials is free of charge - this is our way of saying thank you to our event officials.
Medical Services and Safety
MAM will ensure, through its regulations, that event organisers provide sufficient medical services assistance and medical intervention for competitors during a motor sport event. Safety is paramount and appropriate training of officials and competitors is an integral part of MAM's risk management program. |
