The Yamaha SL Cup Malaysian Series is a joint effort between MAM, Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd in Japan through Birel Pacific S.r.l., Raycer Powerhouse Sdn Bhd and RL Karting. This series will provide old and new karters with an opportunity to race at a reasonable cost. MAM and the partners hope to produce more karting champions in time to come. There are three categories namely, Cadet (9-12 years), Junior (12-15 years) and Senior (15 years and above). A total of 6 rounds have been scheduled to be held at the Sepang International Karting Circuit.

Awards       

Trophies will be awarded 1st-3rd place in each class unless there are less than 6 entries, when only one trophy will be awarded. Drivers in each class will be awarded points for their finishing position in the finals in each round as follows:

The series champion in each class will be determined from the total points scored in all the rounds. All completed rounds will count for the Championship.

At the end of the series, the driver with the highest points score in each class for the series will be awarded a Challenge Trophy and will receive a replica for his/her retention. Second and Third place scorers will receive trophies.
